Genealogie Michel Vuijlsteke

Hello Everyone,

It's a new day, so a new email is required.

I have only a few documents concerning my branch of the family, there are many of Joe's photos but without any titles, many relate to his war service. However, what you my find interesting is a composite photograph with Joe's notes on the back. It shows my great great grandfather Abram Fiszpan, with below centre my great grandfather Nusen (Nathan) Mendel flanked to the right by Hertzka and to the left by Victor. A scan of both front and back is attached.

I also have a copy of 'secret' government file about Joe which last year I managed to get released. The documents were held with a note saying that their release could cause harm or embarrassment to Joe's family and/or friends. To our disappointment they did not say that Joe was a secret agent or a hero. They concerned his application for naturalization and later his promotion to an officer. Special Branch (the police) undertook an investigation on Joe's background and the files make amusing reading.

I will email the papers to anyone who wishes to read them.

Oh dear, I got it wrong.

Nusen was my great grandfather, with Nusen (Nathan) my grandfather (that is Joe's father).
